One of the things I did manage to do while I wasn’t at home at the computer or writing was to get off my butt and start a new workout regimen.
I’ve always been a sporadic exerciser, going through phases of working out a lot or none at all, and at the moment I’m on the former. I tend to walk to do most errands since the bank, library, post office, Trader Joe’s are all in walking distance, which is a good habit and saves gas money. But now I’m trying to make sure I get out and walk every day.
I’ve had a Nike Plus for my iPod for a couple of years but I’d misplaced one of the parts and didn’t feel like buying another one, but I recently discovered the missing part and am now back to using the Nike Plus for all my walks. I love how you upload the info to their website and have graphs and can set goals and challenges. I also signed up for the Coaching program to start running. We’ll see how long I manage to keep up with that one!
If anyone else out there has a Nike Plus, I’d love to be workout partners or even set up a challenge. Who else uses one? I’ll figure out how to link to my profile and share that at some point! I do have my facebook profile set up so it posts my workouts there which is kind of cool.
Anyway, I’m really enjoying walking again and in general my health has improved quite a bit lately. I haven’t checked to see if I’ve lost any weight yet but everything feels firmer than it used to.
