I had hoped to make more progress this month on NaNo than I have, but I still have a couple of weekends left, so there’s still hope I’ll finish something. I’ve got nearly 20,000 words done and a lot of ideas, just not as much time or ability to write as I had last year. There have been too many distractions this month.
It’s been a crazy November, with trying to get back to work after arm surgery, and finding out that my arm wasn’t really ready, so my doctor cut back on my computer use for about a week. Then a trip to Chicago right in the middle of the month with no time for writing while I was gone. I’m back at work part time but I still have some restrictions on using my arm.
I’ve also been distracted between two stories that I want to work on, and therefore I’m not making much progress on either. I’ve decided that if I hit 50,000 words total writing for the month, I’m calling it a win.
