Alyson Books buys SEX, LIES & WEDDING BELLS!

I made a pre-announcement about this the other day, but now it's official! Alyson Books has purchased print rights to my novel for publication during 2010.

Here is the Ravenous Romance announcement:

We are thrilled to announce that Alyson Publishing will publish two RR titles in 2010 as what we all hope will be their new foray into gay romance publishing. They will publish our best-selling titles AN OFFICER AND HIS GENTLEMAN by Ryan Field and SEX, LIES AND WEDDING BELLS by EM Lynley. Don Weise, the publisher of Alyson, and someone who has been reading gay erotica for at least two decades, said our books were as good, if not better, than anything he's ever read. And, that if this is the direction romance novels have gone in since he last read them, then he better start reading romance novels again!

I can't possibly say how excited I am about this. As a new writer, to have my work accepted by one of the top GLBT publishers is just amazing. I'm thrilled that they are realizing that gay romance is a growing genre, and that if we want steamy stories, we don't have to settle for simple erotica. I'm even more humbled by the knowledge that Ryan Field has been writing for over a decade, and the other RR book that Alyson bought was edited by Cecilia Tan, another extremely well-known name in publishing.
