Here’s a little peek into my upcoming release Lighting the Way Home<\/a>, out March 29 and co-authored with Shira Anthony.<\/p>\n

\"LightingTheWayHome_ORIG\"<\/a>They\u2019d broken into the community pool at midnight, drunk on a bottle of sweet kosher wine Josh had stolen from his parents\u2019 restaurant. They hadn\u2019t planned on the break-in, and once they\u2019d climbed over the fence, they didn\u2019t know how to celebrate their daring feat.<\/p>\n

\u201cJump off the high dive!\u201d Josh had suggested. Micah was strong swimmer and a good diver.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. You jump.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI suck at diving. No way I\u2019ll go off the top one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll do it if you do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay.\u201d That sounded good to Josh. Everything seemed easier with Micah at his side.<\/p>\n

They headed for the iron ladder to the top level before Micah stopped dead in his tracks. \u201cShit. No swimsuits.\u201d Micah started laughing uncontrollably at this point. He couldn\u2019t hold his Manischewitz the way Josh could.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho needs \u2019em?\u201d Josh slipped out of his shirt and pants before his brain caught up. He stood there in his white briefs, waiting. When Micah shimmied out of his own clothes, Josh thought he\u2019d died and gone to heaven. He tried not to stare at his friend\u2019s near-naked body, illuminated by the strong light of the full moon. They’d changed in front of each other for years, in locker rooms, but it was the first time he’d been alone, kind of tipsy, and this close to a much more manly, grown-up Micah. Josh’s pulse raced.<\/p>\n
