Welcome to the second round of the Swept Away Blog Hop. (Round 1<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Have you seen Warm Bodies<\/em>? It’s a twist on the typical zombie story because the romance isn’t between zombie fighters, but between a human and a zombie. Now that’s romance, isn’t it?<\/p>\n

For the past few years I admit I’ve been baffled by the lure of the zombie flick. I tried watching The Walking Dead but couldn’t really stomach the gore. I’m not a fan of horror flicks and while my friends were raving about the show I was never able to get into it.<\/p>\n

But Warm Bodies actually sounds like it might be my kind of zombie movie. A zombie that must somehow be lovable and capable of thought and communication. That’s great. And like Shrek, the lesson must be that your hero doesn’t have to be tall, dark and handsome to win the girl. Yes, I understand that coming from a romance writer, that last thought might sound somewhat disingenuous, but let’s look past that for the time being.<\/p>\n
