I’m sharing a snippet from Hostile Takeover<\/em><\/a> a recent release from Dreamspinner Press. It was voted 3rd place in Goodreads M\/M Romance Group’s Favorite Enemies to Lovers category.<\/p>\n

\"HostileTakeover2\"<\/a>The more time they spent together, the easier it became for Mathias to decide he really liked<\/i> Chase. Mathias had been attracted to men before, though he\u2019d never actually done more than a little bit of fairly harmless fooling around once or twice. It seemed Chase Richards was destined to be the first for anything more serious.<\/p>\n

They sat on the small couch in front of the television, their thighs nearly touching as they watched the DVD of \u00e9p\u00e9e practice. Chase paused the DVD for Mathias\u2019s opinion on his work with \u00e9p\u00e9e, Mathias\u2019s strongest weapon. Chase was more adept with the saber, and the two weapons had different strategies and moves.<\/p>\n

Mathias was in the middle of making a suggestion, Chase\u2019s gaze on his face, taking in every word with rapt attention, when suddenly, Chase leaned in and kissed Mathias. A soft, slightly lingering kiss, but more than enough to get Chase\u2019s point across. Though it had taken Mathias by surprise, he was aware of the light pressure of Chase\u2019s lush, full lips, the prickly feel of stubble, but mostly the way as soon as Chase broke contact Mathias wanted more and he wanted it immediately.<\/p>\n

Mathias didn\u2019t even speak, just leaned in toward Chase, saying everything with his eyes, and when their mouths met again, Mathias\u2019s hand instinctively went toward Chase\u2019s head, pulling him in closer. Chase straddled Mathias\u2019s lap, one muscular thigh on each side of Mathias\u2019s, pressing against his legs, sending brand new signals up and down the length of his body. Their tongues met and tangled, exploring each other\u2019s mouths, gently at first, and then with increasing ardor. Mathias fought the urge to crush Chase against him. He’d never wanted to be this close to anyone before. Chase’s arms held tight, the muscles gliding beneath the skin and only thin cotton separating their bodies.<\/p>\n
