I’m so excited to announce the new series I’ve been hinting at for a while. If you’ve read more than one of my books, you probably know I love to write about food. In real life I love to cook (and eat, which will surprise no one who met me at GayRomLit). I’ve centered more than one scene in my stories on food and now, my new series with Dreamspinner is going to focus on characters in the food and wine world.<\/p>\n

After the financial meltdown I left the world of high finance and spent seven years in the wine and spirits industry. I also love to cook, have taken food writing courses and occasionally write about food and dining as a freelancer. The new series will give me the opportunity to put my experience and passion into my characters, the way my travel experiences led me to write the Precious Gems series.<\/p>\n

The new food series is called “Delectable.” Each novel or novella will be a stand alone, so it won’t matter what order you read them in. Characters might show up in more than one story, but for now I’m not planning any big character arcs spanning multiple books. That may change when I find characters I can’t stop thinking about even when their story seems to be finished.<\/p>\n

The first book in the Delectable series is a novella called “Brand New Flavor<\/a>,” about an artisan ice cream maker and a food writer who fall for each other. It’s coming out November 21 (the day before Thanksgiving) from Dreamspinner. Stay tuned for tomorrow and I’ll tell more about that story and how I was too afraid to send it to a publisher until I got an email from a beta reader.<\/p>\n

If this story sounds too delicious to be true, well, maybe it is. It’s a little bit like a fairy tale with ice cream. And if you haven’t heard, now you can pre-order titles<\/a> at Dreamspinner and they will show up on your bookshelf on release day. How cool is that?<\/p>\n
