It&apos;s being run by iheartpaperbacks, with <a href=\"http:\/\/iheartpaperbacks.wordpress.com\/2009\/03\/21\/the-mm-romance-challenge-sign-up\/\">full details here<\/a>. I&apos;m reposting the general information, but go to their site as well especially to find out more about the prizes! <\/p>\n<p>They have links to lots of m\/m romance publishers, so you can shop there, rather than Amazon! Check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blenza.com\/linkies\/links.php?owner=anesthezea&amp;postid=21Mar2009\">other people&apos;s lists<\/a>. I&nbsp;was excited to find one of my titles on Selah March&apos;s list!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>March 20, 2009 to August 31, 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">This challenge is for those who enjoy reading Male\/Male romances or those who are interested in starting. If you aren&rsquo;t familiar with M\/M romances, they are novels and other books where the main focus of the story is the romantic relationship between the male protagonists. There are all types of genres and themes available: historicals, fantasy, sci-fi, mysteries, detective stories, paranormal romances, vampires, shapeshifters, erotica, m&eacute;nage &agrave; trois, time travel, BDSM, cowboys, cops, romantic comedies, even regency-sci-fi! There&rsquo;s a wealth of material out there just waiting to be read.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules\/Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Choose your sports euphemism (lol!):<br \/> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">1st Base<\/span> &#8211; Read 4 M\/M romances<br \/> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2nd Base<\/span> &#8211; Read 5 M\/M romances<br \/> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">3rd Base<\/span> &#8211; Read 6 M\/M romances<br \/> &#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Go All The Way<\/span> &#8211; Read 10 (or more) M\/M romances<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><lj -cut text=\"more fine print\"><\/p>\n<p>2. All genres are allowed.<br \/> &#8211; They can be a part of a series or stand-alones.<br \/> &#8211; They can be long or short.<br \/> &#8211; Some re-reads are allowed, but try to have at least 2 new-to-you books.<br \/> &#8211; Overlapping with other challenges is fine, even encouraged.<\/p>\n<p>3. You can join at any time, but remember there is a deadline (<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">August 31, 2009<\/span>) so keep that in mind when you choose how many books you&rsquo;d like to read.<\/p>\n<p>4. You don&rsquo;t have to list your books ahead of time. If you decide to list them, you can change them as you go. Feel free to remove or add titles as needed.<\/p>\n<p>5. You do NOT have to have a blog to participate.<br \/> &#8211; You can post a mini review or feedback in comments on the <a href=\"http:\/\/mmromance.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/mm-romance-challenge-book-reviews.html\">review post<\/a>.<br \/> &#8211; Just remember to include your book title and author.<\/p>\n<p>6. You do NOT have to review your books to participate.<\/p>\n<p>7. You MUST be 18 years old or older to participate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extra Options<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you&rsquo;d like to spice things up a bit, feel free to use the following suggestions when choosing what books you want to read. You can use as many as you want, depending on how many books you&rsquo;ll be reading for the challenge. Feel free to expand on this list if you&rsquo;d like.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Read an anthology.<br \/> &#8211; Read an historical.<br \/> &#8211; Read a new release.<br \/> &#8211; Read a new-to-you author.<br \/> &#8211; Read the first book in a series.<br \/> &#8211; Read a book with a sports\/athletics theme.<br \/> &#8211; Read a book outside your comfort level or from a genre you don&rsquo;t normally read.<br \/> &#8211; Read a book where the shapeshifter <i>isn&rsquo;t<\/i> a werewolf.<br \/> &#8211; Read a book that&rsquo;s been in your TBR pile for longer than 2 months.<br \/> &#8211; Read any title by one of the first m\/m authors you ever read.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prizes\/Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone who signs up by April 31, 2009 will be eligible for a random drawing for the ebook of their choice by collaborating authors <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barbarasheridan.com\/\">Barbara Sheridan<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/annecain.deviantart.com\/\">Anne Cain<\/a>. Together they write male\/male romances that are heavily influenced by yaoi. Anne has even done the cover art and inside illustrations for a number of their books.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone who completes the challenge by the August 31st deadline will be eligible for a random drawing for $15 in eBook Bucks from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.allromanceebooks.com\/\">All Romance Books<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/z3.invisionfree.com\/The_Phade\/index.php\">The Phade<\/a> message board is also hosting some fabulous prizes for this challenge.
