Today I'm hoping for some help with a name for an Italian character.  Lots of Italian names are actually pronounce differently than they look to English speakers, and I know that readers often don't like characters which names they can't pronounce or aren't sure about. For example: Ricci is pronounced REE-chee, but a reader might think "REE-kee" when reading. <\/p>\n

Does that matter? <\/p>\n

I did some research for a name that is common in the area where the character is from, and quite a few have different Italian and "English" pronunciations. Maybe you can help me figure out which names sound good to you. The character is about 55 years old and is the mother of a main character.<\/p>\n
