Beastly<\/strong><\/em>, a new interpretation of Beauty and the Beast opens in US theatres today. Next week, Amanda Seyfried’s film\u00a0Red Riding Hood<\/strong><\/em> opens. Hollywood has several more fairy-tale-inspired films coming during the next year, including Julia Roberts’ turn as a wicked witch.<\/p>\n

Once again, fairy tales come back to their roots: horrific, terrifying and this new crop is definitely not for kids.<\/p>\n

If you like your fairy tales with a little more emphasis on the erotic and the romantic, you’re bound to enjoy the stories in the two GLBT Fairy Tale anthologies I’ve edited.
